We worked with the WASP laboratory and Jennifer Cano to show that partial dislocations and step edges can bind single helical modes in higher-order topological insulators even without weak topological indices. The work is published in Physical Review Letters.

We worked with Tobias Holder and the Ilani group to show that a weak magnetic field separates ballistic from hydrodynamic electron flow through the spatial profile of the transverse electric field. The work is published in Physical Review B.

We worked with Shahal Ilani's group to image Poiseuille flow of hydrodynamic electrons in graphene. The work is published in Nature; read the accompanying Nature News & Views.

We worked with the WASP laboratory and collaborators to map how bismuth boundary modes respond to a screw dislocation, placing the material close to a transition into a strong topological-insulator phase with nonzero weak indices. The work is published in Science Advances.

We worked with Tobias Holder and Ady Stern to connect Hall viscosity to the transverse electric field in narrow channels and to a viscous Hall angle in Corbino geometry. The work is published in Physical Review Letters.

We worked with Ady Stern to show that magnetic and superconducting proximity effects can spatially split a higher-order topological-insulator hinge mode into chiral electronic or Majorana channels. The work is published in Physical Review Letters.
